Technical Data

Product Overview

Open-Type Felting Needles are specialized nonwoven needling consumables engineered for needle punching machines and needle looms processing ceramic fiber insulation materials and other high-temperature resistant nonwoven products. Featuring an equilateral triangular cross-section with barbs distributed along each edge, these needles deliver uniform bending strength in all directions, ensuring consistent performance across demanding applications. The optimized geometry provides superior surface finish with reduced funnel-shaped recesses compared to conical needles, while significantly lowering machine load and penetration force at the start. This design results in improved needle guidance, reduced deflection, and fewer needle breakages, making them ideal for precision needling of fragile or sensitive fiber webs.
