Technical Data

Key Advantages at a Glance

1. Gentle Fiber Hooking — Fork tip design engages fibers softly for longer service life

2. Ultra-Straight Needle Body — Precision manufacturing ensures no bending or breakage

3. V-Shaped & D-Shaped Crosses — Determines fabric surface appearance and texture

4. High Structured Uniformity — Consistent machining for uniform pattern reproduction

5. Distinctive Loop Texture — Creates clear, well-defined coils and grain effects

6. Dense Surface Quality — Efficient fiber processing for extremely fine surface finishes

7. Fine Working Section — Minimal funnel groove for the best possible surface quality

8. High Processing Reliability — Stable performance batch after batch

Design & Construction

Our fork needles are precision-manufactured from high carbon steel with a bright nickel-white finish. Each needle is engineered with the following structural features:

1. Tapered Shank — The needle shank may have one or multiple tapers (single, double, or multi-reduced), transitioning smoothly from the shank diameter down to the working section. This design provides the necessary stability while minimizing fabric widening during needling.

2. Cylindrical Working Section — Unlike triangular needles, the working part of a fork needle is cylindrical with a round cross-section throughout. All diameters are expressed in gauges (gg), where a smaller gauge number corresponds to a larger diameter.

3. Three-Dimensional Rounded Fork Tip — At the front of the forked working section, there are harpoon-like forks formed by compression molding, composed of multiple curved surfaces. The fork tip is available in V-shaped or D-shaped cross-section configurations, each producing a distinct surface texture on the fabric.

4. Working Part Length Options — Standard working part lengths include 5.5mm, 8.5mm, 13mm, 14.5mm, 15.5mm, and 17mm. The working part length is determined by the required needle stability and penetration depth. Fine-gauge multi-reduced needles typically require a shorter working part for optimal stability.
