Technical Data

Key Advantages at a Glance

1. Uniform Resistance Distribution — Twisted triangular section spreads needling force evenly for longer service life

2. Higher Needling Efficiency — Altered barb alignment grabs more fibers per puncture

3. Balanced MD:CD Strength — Improved tensile strength ratio for more uniform fabric performance

4. Optimized Surface Quality — Reduced fabric surface interference for a smoother, more consistent finish

5. Improved Dimensional Stability — Twisted geometry enhances fabric dimensional control

6. Faster Production Speed — Reduced puncture density requirement allows higher line speeds

7. High Carbon Steel Construction — Precision heat-treated for durability and wear resistance

8. Multiple Barb Styles — F, G, B, GB, L, K types available for different fiber and fabric requirements

Design & Construction

Our spiral needles are precision-manufactured from high carbon steel with a bright nickel-white finish. Each needle is engineered with the following structural features:

1. Twisted Triangular Working Section — The working part maintains an equilateral triangular cross-section but is subjected to a specific twist, forming a thread-like rotating body. This geometry ensures that needling resistance is uniformly distributed along the entire working length, reducing localized wear and extending service life.

2. Equal-Size Barbs on Three Edges — All barbs along the three edges are of identical size. The most common configuration is two barbs per edge, providing balanced fiber entanglement with efficient fiber carry.

3. Unique Barb Arrangement — The arrangement of barbs on the twisted working section differs from that of ordinary triangular needles. This altered alignment allows each needle to grab more fibers during each puncture, increasing overall needling efficiency and producing a more uniform fabric structure.

4. Available Barb Styles — Choose from a range of barb types to match your specific application:

(1) Type F — Good penetration and fiber carry; generally used for pre-piercing

(2) Type G — Less damage to fibers

(3) Type B — Less damage to fibers

(4) Type GB — More wear-resistant during use

(5) Type L — Based on Type B with more rounded hook teeth

(6) Type K (Open Style) — Delivers better fiber carry quantity

5. Barb Spacing Options — Available in regular, medium, close, frequent, and single spacing configurations to control needling density and surface finish.
